Living The Guilt-Free Life!

How To Know WHO you are and Live Guilt-Free!

“Wake up, you who are sleeping!
    Rise from death, and Christ
will shine on you.”
-Apostle Paul

Unresolved shame is part of the great sickness of our culture! It is the root cause of almost all inconsistency in life. Let’s examine shame and its effect upon our lives.

Joel 2:25-28

25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall NEVER BE ASHAMED.

27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God, and none else: and my people shall NEVER BE ASHAMED.

28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

Mark 12: 28-31

28 One of the teachers of the law came to Jesus. He heard Jesus arguing with the Sadducees and the Pharisees. He saw that Jesus gave good answers to their questions. So he asked him, “Which of the commands is the most important?”

29 Jesus answered, “The most important command is this: ‘People of Israel, listen! The Lord our God is the only Lord.

30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’

31 The second most important command is this: ‘Love your neighbor the same as you love yourself.’ These two commands are the most important.”

These Two Commandments define the three fundamental relationships in life. These relationships are:

  1. My relationship with GOD
  2. My relationship with Others
  3. My relationship with Myself

Pivotal Relationship

Of the three relationships the way I fell about myself is the most important. Whether or not I am able to love myself affects my ability to love God and others.

If I believe that I am unlovable, I will refuse to allow God to love me. If I convince myself that I am not worthy of His love, I will reject his love. Therefore, I become unloved. He cannot love me against my will.

Esteem for myself CANNOT come from myself. Accepting my worth also CANNOT come from myself. My only Scriptural source of the understanding of the worth of self is the revelation of God’s love for me.

1 John 3:16

Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

You must be worth a tremendous amount to Him, Because He died for you!!!!!

Next week we will explore how to accept God’s love without reservation!
