Basic diet stuff from yours truly……

I’m not a nutritionist, herbalist, nor a dietitian, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn once. That being said I would like to comment about how to balance out your diet without having to juice kale for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Disclaimer: Before changing your diet you should consult your physician. Before following anything that I have done on here, consult every available health person on the planet. In other words, I’m not a professional, just a innocent bystander.

Your health IS important! I would not just throw out information to see myself write. I believe in what I’m about to tell you. After studying health for over 10 years on Youtube and such, I feel like I have something to offer. My wife and I also have raised 3 beautiful children that are very healthy and were rarely sick during their childhood.

Let’s Get On With It!

The first thing to remember is that the atmosphere of the home affects the processing of the food. If the home is full of anger, I believe the food will reflect anger. Bring harmony into the home and especially into the kitchen. We need to get the most out of the food. Actually food is not what we need, it is the nutrients that the food provides; strong, vivacious nutrients prepared from healthy hands in a healthy atmosphere.

Second thing is to eat foods from as close to the original as possible. Eat good veggies that haven’t been overcooked to look like something you can’t tell what it is. If I was advising, which I’m not. I would go with raw or steamed veggies.

What Kind Of Veggies?

Try to eat as many different colors in the week as you can. Yep, thats my scientific observation for good veggie/fruit variation. Blue blueberries, red strawberries, orange carrots, red tomatoes, green stuff, purple stuff, yellow stuff and any other colors you can find! Don’t worry about the M&M’s, I will get to that.

“Eating over processed food is like chewing someone’s already-been-chewed gum.”

Here’s For You Carnivores

Lean cuts of good beef, lamb, chicken and fish. In all that you eat, use moderate portions. I am not Jewish but I have personally never been a huge fan of pork. Eat pork at your own risk….. And for the love of Todd, CHEW your food properly!!! If you don’t know what proper food chewing is all about, Google it. 🙂

Here is the biggie…(Drum roll starts)

WATER is needed in the morning, midmorning, for lunch, afternoon snack, dinner, after dinner snack and before bed!!! How much? However tall you are divided by your width and add 3, this is how you learn math, but it has nothing to do with how much water. For a general rule of thumb, drink 8 – 8 ounce glasses per day. This is average and you should consult your physician before taking my advice on any of this.

Is Fast Food Permitted?

Once in a while get yourself a fast-food meal, this will aid in the colon cleanse later. Maybe fast food doesn’t effect your gut, but it certainly does mine sometimes…..Eek!

A number of years ago my wife and I got rid of our microwave and at the writing of this blog we still don’t have one. We heat up things on the stove. Stone-age Rob doesn’t want to “NUKE” his nutrients into another state of confusion.

What have I missed? Oh yeah, buy organic grown or better yet locally grown from folks who don’t use chemicals to grow your nutrient containers. If you have a lot of time, grown your own! Roll you own…carrots. Anyway, it all boils down to this:

Lots of color in your veggies and fruit.
Lean cuts of fresh meat.
Raw or just cooked enough to eat.
Plenty of filtered water.
VERY small amounts of sugars and fast-food.

I know that is very simple. I didn’t make you buy a juicer or blender. Juice if you want, but remember it can overload your system if you’re not careful.

Two more mentions before I get to the M&M’s.

1.Coffee is the nectar of the gods, consume small amounts. Tea is the nectar of sissies, drink in the closet so no one will see you. Alcohol is only on special occasions where no one knows your name.
2. Eggs, a super food for me…..Wow I feel super!

NOW The M&M’s

You are permitted to eat a small bag of M&M’s once a week (if your physician says it’s ok) and it will not register with the food gods. You will not go to hell for the small bag.

Get good rest at night, exercise a few times a week. Laugh, breathe and enjoy life!!!

Whew! I feel better helping the world to see how awesome I am as a pseudo health nut.
